Head of Development
Fixed Term Contract – 12 months
£80k salary plus benefits
We are looking for an experienced housing development professional to manage a live and ambitious programme for a London based Housing Provider. They require someone with expertise in programme monitoring and managing; development delivery; scheme financial appraisals; procuring, contract managing and delivering land-led schemes in consultation with residents, the community and wider stakeholders including the local council, politicians, and funding agencies.
The development team also deliver a programme of acquisitions, refurbs and asset re-development and supported housing initiatives and is charged with identifying and taking forward innovative approaches to securing and delivering new high-quality affordable housing.
Overview of responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Development in the formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of the organisation’s Development Strategy and action plan
Report on team progress in delivering programme and project objectives/milestones on a monthly and quarterly basis and provide performance reports to the Director of Development, Leadership Team, be fully aware of legislative and best practice requirements in respect of development activities, and to research development and procurement related issues, initiatives and methods.
Identify and deliver development opportunities in line with the Development Strategy Committee or others as required
Oversee the timely delivery of an existing programme of c 400 units
