Our Chief Officer, Business Management is key to our success as a growing and transforming organisation. As an integral member of our Senior Leadership Team, the role is responsible for making sure that we have the capabilities to do what we need to do. It will ensure we operate efficiently, and with a firm focus on delivery, growing the capability of  our committed and expert staff to operate with passion, whilst making sure that energy is directed to best strategic and operational effect. Inherent in this is an ability to develop insightful management and business information systems to provide us with the evidence we need to target our resources most effectively, and to work closely with our partners at Defra to ensure our corporate services meet our needs.

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a track record of leading transformational business change, particularly developing performance insight and  programme management capability, within a similarly complex and scale of operation. You will be adept at taking people with you on that journey of change, and will bring an emphasis on outcomes, and continuous improvement. A confident, capable senior leader, you will also bring a collaborative style and a strategic mindset.
