VSM - Competitive
Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides NHS community, mental health, dementia and learning disability services to a population in excess of 545,000 people living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Most of our services are based in local communities, enabling care to be provided as close as possible to where people live. We have wonderful staff whose drive and commitment is outstanding and unfailing during the most difficult circumstances.
The Trust is on a journey of improvement; the Executive Team has been restructured and portfolios have been refreshed. We have reviewed and revised our governance arrangements and have made good progress on delivering our Governance Improvement Plan (GIP). We are now transitioning to an overall Trust Improvement Plan. In our recent CQC inspection, it was noted that improvements were on-going and were in the process of being embedded. It was most heartening that despite our recent organisational, operational and COVID challenges, the care provided by our staff was rated as outstanding. This is testimony to their achievements and their drive and commitment which has been unfailing during the most difficult circumstances.
It is to this complex backdrop that we seek to appoint our Executive Director of Integrated Governance and Performance. Development and leadership of the Trust Improvement Plan is a major deliverable, as well as recovery of our complaints processes and the implementation of our performance management framework. We are looking for an exceptional individual who will empower and enable our teams to embed good governance and assurance practice and ensure that as a Trust we manage risk whilst striving to meet our ambitions. Of equal importance will be the ability to work with our partners and the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to ensure that as a System our governance and approaches to improving performance are integrated and we are able to take a shared approach to managing risk.
With significant corporate governance and performance experience you will be confident operating at Board level in a complex, regulated environment with a proven track record of embedding robust governance, assurance and risk management frameworks. With excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail, you will bring a positive influence to our Board whilst we focus on closer working and greater integration of health and care services, in order to provide the very best outcomes for our population.
If you share our values and aspirations and are excited by this opportunity then we look forward to hearing from you.
