It is working in close partnership with health and care partners across the cities of Leeds and York; the Yorkshire and the Humber regions; and with partners on a wider geographical area where appropriate. The Trust is part of the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Partnership and also has strong links to the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Partnership. These partnerships bring NHS and Council organisations together to improve health and care for people living in these areas. Working in partnership supports the Trust in achieving its vision to provide outstanding mental health and learning disability services as an employer of choice.

Given the impact and importance of the Trust’s responsibility within the integrated care system, this is an exciting time of change and a unique opportunity for a new Chair to represent the Trust locally, regionally and nationally in delivering a system that will have a fundamental impact on improving the health and lives of people in the areas we serve.

As this is such an important and prominent role, our Chair will need to be a highly collaborative and influential leader capable of forging strong partnerships and able to impact, enthuse and persuade others to collaborate and embrace wide ranging changes in healthcare provision.

We seek a Chair who will be passionate about leading our Council of Governors and Board of Directors to make a real difference; will show a strong commitment to the local community and working with a range of partners; have a strong focus on equality and diversity; and hold the best interests of service users and the wellbeing of our staff at the heart of their leadership.
