We believe in the potential of digital technologies to improve health and care services.

We can’t do this alone. But if we can unlock the capabilities of our platforms and develop open standards and APIs, we can create an environment for digital innovation to thrive. That’s where this exciting and demanding new role comes in - being at the heart of the NHS, this is a unique chance to make a difference like in no other role. Could this be you?

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive experience of technical leadership across large IT transformation projects
  • Demonstrable experience of API management, including the leading and development of APIs – using logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of the Spine systems architecture.
  • Significant knowledge of Cloud based technologies.
  • Evidence of specialist knowledge in Agile and DevOps.
  • Evidence of supplier contract management
  • Significant evidence of continued professional development.
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of specific technical specialisms, provision of detailed advice regarding their application and execution of specialised tasks. The specialism can be any area of information or communication technology, technique, method, product or application area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be part of a dynamic team using data and digital technology to transform health and care. You will have a range of opportunities to build your experience in an environment where your work has a direct and positive impact. We are looking for people to live the values and behaviours of NHS Digital. We want people who are people focused, trustworthy, professional and innovative, to join us on this exciting journey.
