Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System
Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) have an ambitious vision to empower and support healthy local communities, so that local people have the best start in life and can live and age well. We and our partners across Lancashire and South Cumbria are committed to taking coordinated action to improve health and wellbeing, provide clinically sustainable services and to do this within available resources. We are a partnership of NHS, local authority, public sector, voluntary, faith and social enterprise and academic organisations. We work together to join up health and care services, listen to the priorities of our communities, local people and patients and tackle some of the biggest challenges we are all facing.
We are seeking to recruit a Chief of Planning, Performance and Strategy who will report to Kevin Lavery our Designate Chief Executive and will lead on the development and implementation of our system strategy and the development of our 5-year ICB plan. This will include providing strategic direction, identifying transformation plans, and developing delivery plans aligned to the Pledges of the ICB; enabling us to focus on resolving long standing challenges in service sustainability and performance. Working collaboratively, you will ensure this reflects and integrates the strategies of all our partner organisations. This is a significant, high-profile role which offers a unique opportunity to be part of shaping health and care across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
We are seeking a talented, collaborative, compassionate and experienced senior healthcare leader who will operate with presence, dynamism and energy to lead system partners to shape and deliver our ambitious plan and create a fully mature, thriving ICS with a strong place-based approach to delivery and local commissioning. With significant experience of supporting sustainable organisational and performance improvement at scale you will have substantial board level leadership experience in service provision and/or system leadership experience within a regulatory or similar environment. An exceptional communicator you will bring current evidence and thinking on practices which reduce health inequality, improve patient access, safety and ensure organisations are Well Led.
This is an exceptional opportunity to provide system leadership across a diverse and dynamic system committed to working differently to improve the health and prosperity of our populations.
