Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking for a new Managing Director to run London Improvement Transformation Architecture (LITA), hosted by the Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest and most innovative Trusts in London, with a global reputation for excellent healthcare locally delivered and the birthplace of free hospital treatment almost 200 years ago.
The Managing Director will be at the heart of healthcare design and delivery for London. Running programmes as diverse as urgent care through to corporate services, mental health, and midwifery the Managing Director will have a pivotal leadership role to define the priorities for the organisation for the future, and for the overall strategic leadership, development and ultimate delivery of the Healthcare Consulting and Healthy London Partnership programmes working together as the LITA service.
Tasked with leadership of the LITA teams at the same time as leadership of the services within London, will require consulting widely with the London System and key stakeholders - this is a role which has and needs engagement and partnerships at its heart – partnerships based on mutual trust and ambition. Bringing partners, teams and services together, and exploiting the synergies of both as well as those of the Royal Free, is a unique opportunity. You will be tasked with setting the organisation for success for the next 5+ years.
This role requires and exceptional individual to work across the London System to develop a shared vision for transformation and improvement. The scale of transformation is ambitious and will require commitment, tenacity, and a clear purpose. Having to work to ensure high quality programme support for the system and delivering this to an agreed budget will require an experienced leader who, as well as the relevant technical skills and competencies to deliver in such a role, will need a suite of softer, more nuanced skills with the wide range of stakeholders and competing priorities involved in such a complex and challenging landscape as London and the wide range of organisations therein.
We are keen to use this recruitment exercise to broaden the diversity in skills and experience and strengthen links with our community and stakeholders. Whilst professional experience is important, it is crucial that you will uphold our culture and values as these are what drives our Trust and are the heart of who we are as an organisation. As such, to ensure we appoint the right person, we are recruiting based on values and application of knowledge.
If you believe you’ve got what it takes to make a difference for our people and the communities we serve, we’d love to hear from you.
