Connected Places Catapult (CPC) is the UK Centre of Excellence for urban innovation and mobility, with a role to catalyse the innovation market in the UK and globally. Our teams provide world-class innovation as a service to support the development of new products and services that enable cities, organisations and businesses to generate new ideas, test concepts and develop new solutions for the UK and beyond.

We connect businesses and public sector leaders to cutting-edge research to spark innovation and grow new markets. We run technology demonstrators and SME accelerators to scale new solutions that drive growth, spread prosperity, eliminate carbon and improve the way people live, work and travel. We are globally connected to stimulate demand for UK innovations overseas and co-create opportunities for companies to expand globally.

As the Executive Director of Delivery, you will work closely with other Directors to deliver the Catapult’s strategy and achieve our growth targets in this important leadership role.

Responsible for providing developmental, inclusive and inspiring leadership to a team of 180 multi-disciplinary experts, you will bring a highly professional and structured approach to ensure that our projects and initiatives are delivered to time, cost, and quality, with an important level of focus on outcomes, benefit realisation and customer satisfaction.

However, how you work will be as important as your skill set. Outstanding stakeholder management skills and experience of successfully working with customers and partners (including SMEs) across a wide range of organisations, will be matched by your commitment to being a good colleague, forging strong, respectful and productive internal relationships at all levels to elevate overall performance and impact.

We are looking for an exceptional leader who has ideally performed a similar role in an expert, project led environment in which innovation and the maximisation of human capital and efficiency are imperative to impact, business success and external credibility.  To this end, you will be accustomed to motivating, developing and empowering large, blended teams to work across disciplines and boundaries in support of common outcomes.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the leadership and further development of our business.  Your commitment, strong intellect, outstanding skillset and high levels of energy and enthusiasm have the potential to make a huge difference, so that together we can achieve outstanding outcomes.
