Ref: GSe84765

The Healthier Together Partnership for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) is an ICS made up of ten organisations, including NHS Trusts, councils, the ambulance services, commissioners and community providers. Healthier Together serves a population of 1 million people and represents a commitment to work together on improving health and care in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The Partnership is about tackling the issues that matter most

The Chief Nursing Officer will have an influential Executive role and shared accountability (along with the CMO) to support the development and delivery of the long-term plan of the integrated care board (ICB), ensuring it reflects and integrates the strategies of all relevant partner organisations of the ICB, with a particular focus on developing a shared clinical and care strategy.

We are seeking an experienced, registered nurse leader with an excellent understanding of the delivery of high-quality clinical services. With a commitment to continuous quality improvement, the appointed individual will promote across the ICS a culture of inclusion, openness and learning, ensuring clinical staff have the knowledge and capability to deliver across all of the ICS priorities and support the continual improvement of care for those accessing services across BNSSG. With a track record of contributing at a system level and strong partnership working, you will be adept at relationship building and focussed on embedding meaningful patient and public engagement within the development and improvement of care pathways.

We’re seeking a thorough yet adaptable individual, committed to high standards. An active team player, politically astute and able to communicate at all levels and across multiple, complex stakeholder maps.

You will be joining an ambitious team that operates within a partnership built on a solid foundation of mutual trust and respect.

We are entering an exciting period for health and social care, in which the shift from competition to collaboration will be a challenging one. We will need to demonstrate how we deliver the four key aims of our integrated care system:

  • improving outcomes in population health and healthcare.
  • tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access.
  • enhancing productivity and value for money.
  • helping the NHS support broader social and economic development.

The successful candidates, will have to demonstrate how you lead in an ethical, collegiate and professional manner in which equality, diversity and inclusion are central. If you are someone who wants to be part of a team that truly works towards one public service, are able to think strategically and act in a transformative way, this will be the job for you.

We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all and appointments made on merit. We particularly welcome applications from women, people from local black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, and people with disabilities and/or long term health conditions.
