This is an exciting opportunity to join South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils as Head of Corporate Services. Our districts share a unique blend of growing vibrant towns and villages surrounded by beautiful rural countryside.
Working to the Deputy Chief Executive – Transformation and Operations, this role leads the portfolios across Communications and Engagement, Customer Services, People and Culture and IT/Digital Services. The deliberate decision to bring these core enabling services together demonstrates our genuine commitment to empathetic people focused services.
We are looking for a systems and valuesbased leader who understands the synergies between the service areas and their internal and external impact.
Technically qualified in one of the key areas with a clear focus on people, you will work well across the disciplines and the political structures, understand policy implications and be able to translate these into positive outcomes. A good communicator and
influencer, with the fortitude and resilience to take people with them; you will have a strong track record of change, engagement and service achievement.
This is a key leadership role within the councils with a focus on building the capacity, systems and organisational infrastructure that give a voice to residents, businesses, visitors and staff.
