We are Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, an integrated mental health, community health and learning disability provider for over 1 million people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Co-designed with staff, service users and stakeholders, this strategy identifies key areas to focus on, allowing us to make a real and sustainable difference for our patients and staff. We are committed to continuous improvement, and this is the basis of our formal group model with Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, allowing both Trusts to share best practice across our teams.
The Executive Director of Mental Health will play a key part in the implementation of that strategy, leading the 1,700 staff who provide a range of mental health services across the region. This role is about leading those colleagues as we transform and develop our services, working closely with the Clinical Director of the Directorate to create an inclusive and innovative culture for all. The role isn’t just about the inside though, provider collaboratives are a fundamental part of how we deliver services, and this post works closely with a range of stakeholders to develop this further.
We are looking for candidates with a passion for and understanding of mental health, who are committed to driving improvements for the communities we serve. This is an executive board post, and we need someone capable of working in partnership across multiple professions with compassionate leadership. We are open to supporting someone into taking on their first board level post who understands the complexity of the services we deliver, with a track record of driving sustainable and long-lasting change for the benefit of patients.
