The DVLA is seeking an experienced financial leader to lead our Finance and Assurances Services Directorate of over 150 people.  You will have overall responsibility for financial strategy, financial control, financial planning and the assurance strategy and framework.  You will be a key member of the board and work closely with the Department for Transport and HM Treasury as well as other important internal and external stakeholders.  You will play a vital role in the strategic and operational leadership of the organisation and ensure a high level of governance excellence.

The successful candidate will be someone who has operated as a senior financial leader, at Executive Board level, with responsibility for setting financial strategy in a complex organisation.  With excellent stakeholder management skills, an ability to manage and navigate through change, you must be a fully qualified chartered accountant bringing experience of working in a transforming organisation.
