Coastal Housing Group
At Coastal Housing Group we manage circa 6,000 homes and have an ambitious development and regeneration programme, as well as developing properties for outright sale through our for-sales subsidiary Pennant Homes. Employing almost 300 people across south west Wales, we’re a team in the truest sense of the word. We value relationships highly, so we invest in them daily. As a result, our workplace culture is open, trusting, respectful and encouraging of new ideas and approaches, as well as being commercially aware. This helps to ensure that we deliver the best results for residents, the local community and the environment.
We now have an opportunity to join us as our new Head of Development, reporting to the Executive Director of Growth & New Business. This is a key leadership role requiring a proactive and innovative individual to oversee the delivery of our new development programme, which features a range of construction methods - including modular and passivhaus - in order to create sustainable, low-carbon homes. Responsible for the day to day running of the development department, the role involves building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and contributing strategically to the Senior Management Team to help deliver our overall business objectives and vision.
Experience of delivering major development or regeneration programmes is essential, as is knowledge of relevant construction related legislation. With excellent communication and leadership skills, you’ll inspire and create a rewarding, empowering culture where colleagues thrive and develop. A strong influencer and negotiator, your insight into leading development programmes will be highly valued within our organisation. Whether you’re looking for a career step up, or are already established in a similar senior-level role, at Coastal you can progress your career in this highly influential position. Above all, you’ll need to demonstrate the enthusiasm and pride that we all share as an organisation which adds considerable value to the communities we work within.
