North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT) is a large and busy organisation, with almost 7,000 staff serving 850,000 residents across Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire and the neighbouring counties.  Continuously striving to provide the right care at the right time, every time, for the people we serve, we run three hospitals in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford and support community clinics in Doddington, Ely and Wisbech, we are ambitious for the future and, as a key partner within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICS, committed to improving the experience of patients, families, carers and staff in a way that is aligned to the NHS Long Term Plan and the move towards integration.

The last year has been one like no other time for the NHS, and that has been no different for us at NWAFT.  Our dedicated teams have worked tirelessly to support our patients and one another through the pandemic, and the changes that have subsequently been required to deliver significant transformation in our services and relationships. We are a values-based and progressive organisation and going forward we share a passion and commitment to building on our learning, reimagining the future, and together developing an outstanding organisation from a strong and resilient platform.

We are now seeking a Chair to lead our Trust and make a positive difference to the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.  We are looking for an exceptional and politically astute individual, able to engage and communicate across our wide range of stakeholders as we navigate the journey towards integration, manage the ongoing effects of the pandemic and develop new and innovative approaches to wider challenges including health inequalities and staffing shortages.

The appointed individual will be passionate about serving the interests of our communities and will share our ambition, our values and the commitment we have to our vision of 'Working together to be the best at providing outstanding care for local communities'”.
