    The Royal Collection

Ref: GSe79055

It's helping to care for, preserve and present one of the largest and most important art collections in the world.

It’s inspiring both current and new audiences to enjoy magnificent buildings and beautiful art. It’s about bringing this impressive collection to life given its unique history. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so exceptional.

Joining our Trustee Board is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Royal Collection Trust.

The Royal Collection is spread among thirteen royal residences and former residences across the UK, many works are on long-term loan to institutions throughout the UK, and short-term loans are regularly made to exhibitions around the world as part of our commitment to broaden public access and to show parts of the Collection in new contexts.

The works of art in the Royal Collection are held by The Queen in trust for her successors and the nation. Royal Collection Trust is a department of the Royal Household as well as a charitable trust and commercial enterprise. Our employees are proud to serve HM The Queen, to care for such a special collection and to make it accessible for audiences to enjoy, be that in-situ in a Royal Palace, via our own exhibitions programme or at other institutions, and via our expanding digital content.

Like so many, over the last eighteen months Royal Collection Trust has faced and overcome numerous challenges posed by the Corona virus pandemic. Whilst this has been painful at times, we have taken the opportunity to reflect, re-align and reset. Our priorities for 2021-24 fall into five broad themes: Our Visitors, Our Collection, Our People, Our Financial Recovery and Our Future.

We are now looking for a new Trustee to help turn this vision into a reality. You will be passionate about art and heritage and have experience in making these accessible and relevant to the wider public. Experience of digital engagement would be welcomed.

Please note the successful candidate will be required to go through the relevant security clearances as part of the onboarding process.

To apply, please submit your CV and supporting statement outlining your interest and relevant experience. For a confidential conversation about the role, please contact Michelle Sander at Mobile: 07341 773 817 or Karen Malia at Mobile 07384 118626.
