Following significant and high-profile challenges in our Maternity Services we have made significant investment in our teams allowing us to respond rapidly to the recommendations of the Ockenden review.  Whilst we still face challenges, we are addressing these proactively and demonstrating good progress in delivering the objectives of our comprehensive Maternity Transformation Programme. With significant support through an Improvement Alliance with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and over £300 million secured for the transformation of our two hospitals through the NHS Future Fit programme, this is an exciting time to join our Trust and make a lasting impact for our patients, families and the committed teams who serve them.

Our new Director of Midwifery will provide compassionate leadership that will inspire our dedicated and determined teams, working collaboratively with the Divisional Medical Director and Divisional Director of Operations in developing the strategy, plans, governance, and assurance for our maternity services.   A positive and resilient leader, confident in representing the Trust on maternity issues internally and externally; you will join a team that is committed to our collective journey of improvement and learning.  Quickly gaining the confidence and trust of our staff, you will demonstrate our Trust values and contribute to a culture which is patient centred, empowers staff, promotes personal accountability and transparency, and delivers continuous improvement; assuring our communities that the quality of our maternity services is consistently of the highest standard.
