We provide a range of spaces to locally owned businesses that are rooted in Islington, with social value at the heart of our contracts.
As our new contract manager on this critical programme, you will ensure an effective system of contract management exists between us, our operators, and our communities. You will manage individual concession and lease agreements directly with providers and ensure all social value commitments are delivered.
You will advise on the drafting of innovative specifications and agreements for workspaces to be commissioned to effectively manage the legal arrangements once in place. You will work with the Head of Service to design and develop a cycle of programme and project evaluation; reporting on contractual outputs, performance, and operational issues to a broad range of stakeholders including Chief Officers and elected members.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience of working in the shared or affordable workspace sector, property, asset management or contracted services. You will understand public sector procurement and quality management systems and a track record in managing contracts with external service providers.
You should be comfortable developing and applying commercial approaches and principles to service delivery and projects, with demonstrable experience of building innovative and alternative delivery models as the needs of the programme and its customers change. You will be able to use both business and financial planning techniques to adapt and develop the programme.
You will use contract and performance data to drive continuous improvement of operational services delivered by both the authority and external providers.
