Our ambition is to become one of the most dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking organisations in the country. Could you be our new Chair and provide inspirational strategic leadership to ensure this happens?

At Yorkshire Housing we want everyone to have the opportunity to live in a quality home they can afford. We already own and manage nearly 20,000 affordable and social rent homes, with a clear plan to develop 8,000 more by 2030. We’re looking to new ventures, new partnerships and new mergers to help our customers, our business and the region.

Our growth will make the Yorkshire Housing pound go further. By investing in people, processes and technology, growing our in-house repairs, improving our services and maximising our assets, we can put more money into developing more properties and improving our services. Proud to be more than just a landlord, we aim to consistently deliver a great experience for our customers and be an organisation that people aspire to work with and for.

Innovative and creative, our new Chair will bring the extensive business leadership skills and the emotional intelligence required to inspire a high-performing Board. With considerable energy, and a passion for sustainable growth, you will have a major influence on the successful delivery of our exciting growth ambitions. Alongside providing strong organisational governance and securing our long term viability, you will represent Yorkshire Housing at the highest levels and partner with a broad range of key stakeholders and decision makers.

We are looking for a Chair with knowledge of a complex, regulated environment such as ours, and regardless of your sector background, someone who shares our passion for delivering sector-leading customer outcomes. An experienced Chair, you’ll bring strategic leadership skills from fast-paced cultures which have embraced significant change and transformation. Team focused, you’ll strongly identify with our vision and priorities, and enable us to collectively achieve everything we’ve set out to.

Should you then wish to discuss the opportunity further, please contact Nick Roberts on 07393 013697 or Simon Wing on 0207 426 3976 at GatenbySanderson. All applications should be received by Monday 5th July at 9am.
