Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is the major health and wellbeing provider for a population of 1.8 million people across Lancashire and South Cumbria.  A provider of mental health and learning disability services and physical health services in the community we employ over 7,000 members of staff operating in more than 400 sites with an annual budget of over £370 million. We are on an exciting journey of improvement which includes significant investment being made in mental health and learning disability services and a new leadership structure aligned to our systems’ Place Based Partnerships.  We are committed to leading the integration of physical health, mental health, and social care services locally to deliver improved population health and tackle health inequalities.

At this critical time in the Trust’s development, we are seeking to appoint a Director of Strategic Estates & Facilities who will work closely with, and report to, our Chief Strategy Officer, Alex Heritage. This is a new leadership role in the organisation which we are introducing as we move towards bringing services back into the Trust from our current wholly owned subsidiary, HSIS. This role will have significant Board exposure, with responsibility for leading all of the estates, facilities and capital planning/programme management functions across the Trust and externally working closely with our regulators and partners in the Lancashire & South Cumbria ICS and our Place Based Partnerships.

We are seeking a visible leader with a track record of strategic estates and facilities management at a senior level in large, complex and highly regulated organisations. While prior experience of mental health services would be of interest, we are open to hearing from those who bring experience working in comparable environments and who share our vision to support our communities by excelling in everything we do.
