We are an award-winning not for profit housing association that currently owns nearly 8,500 homes across County Durham. We offer more than just a home, as we are determined to help improve the lives of our customers and our communities. As well as working hard to make sure our homes are high quality, efficient and adaptable, we also support people to gain employment, qualifications, financial confidence and stability. Looking ahead, Plan A encapsulates our ideas and a path to success, setting out 23 ambitious challenges which aim to deliver a brilliant customer experience through the provision of great homes, sustaining strong communities and building a successful future.

Due to the retirement of our Chief Executive later this year, we are now looking to appoint an experienced strategic leader who will bring innovation, inspiration and a focus on achieving the very highest standards. Our culture is based on our ‘one team’ principle, and this is an outstanding opportunity to utilise the full extent of your leadership and engagement skills. With people central to everything that we do, our new Chief Executive will communicate a clear vision for the future, ensuring that we deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers and communities and influencing our direction over the coming years.

An exceptional and empowering leader with knowledge and experience of the social housing sector, you will appreciate our significant potential for positive impact within the multi-stakeholder environment in which we operate across County Durham. With a collaborative style and a track record of capitalising upon new opportunities, you’ll be a visible and tenacious leader with a passion for developing services, relationships and people. As an established leader with a strong alignment to our culture and values, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a highly committed team that thrives on making a sustainable community impact.
