Our ambition is to become one of the most dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking organisations in the country. We are now looking for two new Board Members to bring strategic expertise to help ensure that this happens. Could this be you?

At Yorkshire Housing we want everyone to have the opportunity to live in a quality home they can afford. We already own and manage nearly 20,000 affordable and social rent homes, with a clear plan to develop 8,000 more by 2030. We’re looking to new ventures, new partnerships and new mergers to help our customers, our business and the region.

Our growth will make the Yorkshire Housing pound go further. By investing in people, processes and technology, growing our in-house repairs, improving our services and maximising our assets, we can put more money into developing more properties and improving our services. Proud to be more than just a landlord, we aim to consistently deliver a great experience for our customers and be an organisation that people aspire to work with and for.

For our two new Board Members, we are looking for extensive skills in one or more of the following areas: strategic asset management from any sector, ideally with experience of initiating a strategic response to the sustainability agenda; or expertise in implementing large scale change and transformation in a dynamic, people-focused organisation which pro-actively invests in data and digital initiatives to enhance the customer journey. For both roles, we are looking for senior leaders who appreciate our social purpose and fast-paced, customer-centric culture.

In every aspect of our work we are committed to being a diverse and inclusive organisation, and we look for people who think differently and who can make things happen. Innovative and creative, you’ll strongly identify with our vision and priorities, and through collaboration and team working enable us to achieve our ambitions. You may already be an established non-executive, although we would also welcome hearing from aspirant Board Members who are keen to broaden their strategic leadership skills.

Should you then wish to discuss the opportunity further, please contact Nick Roberts on 07393 013697 or Simon Wing on 0207 426 3976 at GatenbySanderson. All applications should be received by Monday 5th July at 9am.
