Humber, Coast and Vale Integrated Care System
The Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership is a collaboration of nearly 30 different organisations across a geographical area of more than 1,500 square miles, taking in cities, market towns and remote rural and coast communities.
We are working together to plan for the future of health and care services in our area and to find new ways to tackle the challenges that we face locally.
As a Partnership we have an agreed ambition that we want to achieve for our population. In everything we do, we are helping local people to: start well, live well, and age well. We want to become a health improving system rather than an ill-health treating system, which means shifting the focus of our services from picking people up when they fall to helping to prevent them from becoming unwell in the first place, and our new Chair will have a key role to play in this.
The role requires vision and experience to galvanise the work of system leaders to maximise the benefits of collaborative working, shared decision making and effective governance so that decisions stick and positive outcomes delivered. The newly appointed Chair will also help to shape the approach to partnership development and build on existing engagement. Given the size and complexity of the partnership, you will need to have the qualities and reputation to inspire and to provide clear leadership in the next stage of ICS evolution. The role will also require significant engagement with a range of stakeholders, including groups of senior executive and non-executive, NHS leaders, MPs, Elected Members and Council Executives, leaders of external stakeholders such as universities; the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector; regulators; and members of the public. It’s a big role and you can be assured it also brings big opportunities to make a real difference.
With extensive board-level leadership experience and a track record of successfully managing complex and sophisticated stakeholder engagement, you will bring significant personal credibility and the ability to influence across professional, agency and sectoral boundaries. Your acuity and political astuteness will be led by strong personal values that align to the Nolan Seven Principles of Public Life. You will bring a tangible connection to the Humber, Coast and Vale region, and the ability to quickly demonstrate an excellent grasp of the health and care sector, the voluntary, community and social enterprise landscape, and the broader public sector.
This influential role is a unique opportunity to provide leadership to a wide range of stakeholders who are passionate about addressing inequality and unlocking the potential of our region.
If you believe you possess the skills to articulate the advantages of integration and co-production, and to broker tough decisions among partners, please in the first instance contact Jim Canning or Robin Staveley of GatenbySanderson on 020 7426 3985, or via firstname.lastname@example.org
