South Essex Homes
South Essex Homes was formed in 2005 as the local housing management organisation for Southend-on-Sea Borough Council. We currently manage approximately 6,500 homes and, along with our commercial subsidiary, employ over 220 staff.
Over the past decade, South Essex Homes has evolved. We have worked hard to improve our services, increase satisfaction and involve residents very much at the heart of our business. As a leading provider of services in our region, we want use our strengths and make the most of our capabilities to deliver positive outcomes and we have ambitious growth plans to increase the number of homes and services we provide. These plans require us to think and act a bit differently, so we are looking to attract the best talent to help us on this journey.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, we are looking for an experienced and aspiring Finance professional who has led modern, agile, solutions orientated finance and corporate services teams and who will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the South Essex Homes finance function.
We want strategic thinkers, socially but commercially minded individuals, with the energy and drive to make a real difference. Importantly you will have proven leadership skills, values that align with ours and you’ll want to help us to continue to succeed.
It is a fascinating time to be involved both in the social housing sector and with South Essex Homes. This will be a challenging but rewarding role and for the right person a role which could be career elevating in an established and growing organisation. If you would like to be part of our journey, we’d like to hear more about you.
