Peter Vardy Foundation
We are seeking the Founding Director of Education of GenZ Leaders – the new initiative from the Peter Vardy Foundation. The aim of GenZ is to enable all young people in Scotland to be better leaders, to make better decisions and to give something back to their communities.
The Peter Vardy Foundation is the charitable arm of the Peter Vardy Group (a young dynamic company with Motor Retail, E-Commerce and Software Development companies). Peter Vardy Ltd gives 10% of its profits to good causes to improve the lives of young and vulnerable people. As part of this mission, it is now developing an exciting new leadership and meta-skills programme, GenZ Leaders. This will be delivered both in the classroom and on-line and it launches to a pilot group of schools in 2021. To deliver this vision we need the best leadership material in the world, the most highly trained teachers to deliver the programme and world class technology to fully engage 275,000 students across Scotland.
We are seeking a Director of Education who will take the lead on the curriculum of the GenZ Leaders Programme. You will work closely with the new Chief Executive and the Technology Director to develop and deliver our strategic vision, navigate us through a challenging but rewarding environment and work towards implementing our ambitious and exciting plans to create and implement our GenZ Leaders Programme. You will have a hands-on approach and help to build, test, develop and roll out our online leadership skills programme that can be delivered in schools and is accredited by the SQA so it can form part of the Curriculum of Excellence. The Director of Education will work to structured deadlines to guarantee that the GenZ Leaders Programme is at an exceptional standard and ready to be implemented in the chosen pilot schools in September 2021.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is entrepreneurial and has a track record of leadership within the school community at Head of Department level or above; ideally a teacher with knowledge of impactful pedagogy who will lead the development of the GenZ curriculum. With recent experience of delivering curriculum materials and resources that inspire, engage and support young people’s attainment, they will be an excellent relationship builder and able to translate government policy into an exciting, innovative and forward-thinking curriculum. If you are interested in improving the community, preparing the leaders of the future, and bridging the link between business and education, we look forward to your application.
