Sheffield is a great city with great people and bold ambitions.  One of our key aims is to promote better health and well-being amongst our diverse communities, and we are currently looking to appoint a new Director of Adult Health and Social Care to drive this agenda forward.  As a senior member of the People Services Directorate, you will report to the Executive Director and work closely with Elected Members, officers, and partners to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for the people of Sheffield.

We want to ensure that our residents are at the centre of our approach and that social care and health services are joined up, efficient and effective. Therefore, it is vital that you can develop and deliver the opportunities presented by closer working and better integration with our Health partners.

With a wide remit and large teams and budgets to manage, this is a pivotal role within the Council.  We are therefore seeking an exceptional individual who has the energy, skill and ambition to improve services and develop strong partnerships, whilst encouraging innovation.   

You will have a strong track record of success in a relevant service area, but most importantly of all, you will share our passion for working collaboratively and improving outcomes for the people of Sheffield.  This is a great opportunity to take a leading role within a core city at the forefront of system leadership.
