How you’ll make a difference
In order to sharpen our focus, harness our strengths and identify opportunities to ensure the residents of South Gloucestershire can thrive, we have created an exciting new role for a proactive, dynamic, forward thinking individual. In this highly varied role, you will lead on strategy and policy development at a corporate and community level, strengthening the capability to deliver our ambition and priorities, at pace.
Working collaboratively, you will pivot the organisation further towards a corporate identity of innovation, transformation and sustainability which further enhances our reputation and South Gloucestershire’s brand as a great place to live, work, learn, invest and grow.
We are looking for a special kind of leader with the talent to gain the trust and support of our residents, as well as our elected members and senior officers. Utilising your exceptional relationship building and communication skills you will effectively advise and influence at the highest level, strengthening partnerships, identifying and creating new ways of working, and empowering our residents.
What we need from you
You will be an experienced senior manager, ideally with a background in strategy and programme development, with experience of marketing/brand development strategies and community engagement.
You will have an adaptable approach, be forward thinking and visionary, building a sense of direction and a commitment to change among staff.
Crucially, you understand the importance of communications and know how to enhance our brand, creating a compelling corporate narrative across our strategic communications and public relations activities. Above all, you’ll be enthused by this unique opportunity to touch the lives of our residents, making a difference to their communities.
