Keep Britain Trading
Associated British Ports (ABP) is the UK’s leading port operator with a network of 21 ports across Britain handling around one quarter of the nation’s seaborne trade, contributing £7.5 billion to the economy every year and supporting 119,000 jobs.
Our mission is “Keeping Britain Trading” and our actions speak to our commitment. Since 2016, we have invested more than £250 million across our network of 21 ports around Britain, including the expansion of our container facilities on the Humber at Immingham and Hull. As well as working closely with government and customers, we have deepened co-operation with other European ports connected with the Humber who share our determination to keep trade moving efficiently.
We are looking for a Head of Marketing and External Communications to support our ambition and underpin our international and domestic reputation for service excellence. With experience of business to business marketing, you will be a confident marketing strategist, a credible spokesperson and an effective influencer, with the ability to build productive relationships across our complex stakeholder community, including with Government. Ideally you will have had exposure to a global trading environment, preferably in the shipping, port or related sectors but we are open to alternative background if you can bring the skills, experience and personal credentials that we need.
This is an exciting time to join ABP and you will have scope to influence across a dynamic, growing, business that welcomes diversity, fosters talent and places safety as a core value.
