Primary Care Sheffield
Primary Care Sheffield is the innovative GP-led organisation providing Primary Care services for over 600,000 of our city’s population and supporting all 79 GP practices across the city, each of which is a shareholder in our organisation. Our vision is that, by working together and working in more flexible and innovative ways, we can not only deliver improved access for patients but also improve working lives. Along with the direct running of seven GP practices we run a range of other services including the provision of Extended Access to Primary Care, city wide sexual health services, training solutions and domiciliary home care. We also provide a range of support functions to our member practices. As a key partner in both Sheffield’s Accountable Care Partnership and the wider South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System, which is one of the Country’s foremost Integrated Care Systems - PCS is at an exciting time in its development, with the opportunity to secure the future sustainability of health and care services for Sheffield and South Yorkshire through collaboration and innovation at a system level.
Joining our values-based and progressive organisation at a senior level, you will provide strong operational grip and motivational leadership to an experienced senior team. The Executive Director of Finance is the professional head of finance for the organisation and is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and advice to the PCS Board, Chief Executive and Executive Director Team. You will play a key role in the definition and development of the organisation’s overall strategic vision and direction, and in the day-to-day managerial decision-making process. You will be responsible for the development of a proactive and effective financial strategy for PCS which takes account of our ongoing organisational and commercial development and of the local health and social care system transformation.
Externally you will build trusted and productive relationships with our partners, working closely with our CEO, Dr Andrew Hilton, to develop positive relationships across Sheffield’s Accountable Care Partnership. To succeed in this role, you will bring a successful track record of senior leadership in a complex organisation which could have been gained across the public, private or voluntary sectors. You will have strong business planning and strategy expertise and be experienced in providing senior teams or boards with timely and accurate financial performance reporting.
