We have launched our new strategy Our Future FHFT with our vision to be a leader in health & wellbeing, delivering excellence for our communities. We are excited to be undertaking significant programmes of investment, such as a £49m major new Emergency Assessment Centre on our Wexham Park site and the construction of a brand new £98m state of the art hospital to replace the existing hospital facility at Heatherwood. We have also made significant investment in our quality improvement and digital programmes to support our vision and we will ensure that we achieve our aim of providing the highest quality healthcare to our patients.
The role of Company Secretary is a pivotal one within the Trust. The post holder is the principal advisor to the Board, the Trust Executive and the organisation as a whole on all aspects of corporate governance. They will keep under review policy, legislative, regulatory and governance developments that impact on the Trust’s activities and ensure that the Board is appropriately briefed on them. They will facilitate the functioning of the Trust’s corporate business processes, supporting the Board and the Executive team. Moreover, they will act as ‘wise counsel’ to the Board and to the Trust Executive, providing a confidential source of advice for board members on all aspects of Board business, including issues of concern. They will also contribute to the work of the Board in developing organisational strategy in accordance with Trust’s key vision, values and objectives.
With a track record of working with boards the successful candidate will join us as a key member of our leadership team at a crucial time in our development. We’re looking for someone who is thorough yet adaptable, committed to high standards and an active team player, politically astute and able to communicate at all levels, but most importantly someone who shares our values.
