To support this, we are now seeking a new Director to strengthen our corporate leadership team and influence strategy and decision making.

As Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across legal, democratic, electoral, communications, customer services and our transformation team. You will ensure our corporate decision making and governance underpins and supports the effective and compliant delivery of Council services across our district. Alongside this, you will have the corporate lead for our transformation programme ensuring best use of our resources and to improve the customer journey by putting our customers and communities at the heart of your thinking, you will drive through the modernisation of our customer engagement and processes across the Council.

You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of operating strategically and operationally in a complex stakeholder setting. Key is your ability to successfully influence and negotiate in the best interests of the Council providing expert governance, assurance and ideally legal advice and the effective leadership and management of our corporate and customer services. You will have excellent communication skills, able to promote the highest standards of practice and conduct throughout the Council.
