This is why having the right Group Head of Place to drive forward our plans and build on our outstanding private and public sector partnerships is absolutely critical to our next decade of success.
As the Group Head of Place, you will take the lead in all aspects of housing, property, regeneration, transport, infrastructure and planning services for Watford.
Overseeing this broad remit of services, you will take a strategic approach and partner with local organisations that will enhance our built environment, invest further in public realm, deliver high quality affordable housing and introduce more sustainable transport.
This senior role within the council will work with the Senior Leadership Team and the Elected Mayor to develop initiatives that further secure smart growth and economic prosperity for Watford.
You will ensure all services are run efficiently, are fiscally responsible and deliver on commitments.
To be considered as the Group Head of Place, you will need:
Significant experience in leading housing, regeneration, transport, property, planning and infrastructure functions.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of leading, implementing and delivering major projects
A professional qualification or certification in a relevant discipline.
A degree level qualification (or equivalent).
Ideal candidates will also have experience gained within or working with the public sector.
