Dacorum Borough Council
Hemel Hemstead has been awarded Garden Town status by MHCLG to deliver a series of garden communities to the north and east of the town and bring forward transformative proposals for the wider urban area, based on garden city principals. Both St Albans City and District Council and Dacorum Borough Council have ambitious targets to deliver new homes, Hemel Garden Communities is an integral commitment in achieving this.
A new partnership has been formed which as well as the two Borough and District authorities, includes Hertfordshire County Council, Hertfordshire LEP and the Hertfordshire Innovation Quarter. The governance, visioning and key strategy work is well under way.
The opportunity now exists for a credible, outcomes focussed individual to lead this exciting and high-profile programme. You will have a successful track record of working with local authorities, developers, landowners and experience of inclusive engagement with local communities. Leading a growing team of professionals from across the partnership, you will steer the programme through its masterplanning stages. You will demonstrate both political and commercial acumen as you work with a range of elected members, developers and residents.
