Ashfield District Council
Ashfield District Council is perfectly placed in the East Midlands with great connectivity, strong services, excellent prospects for growth, and lots of ambition. We are currently seeking a chief executive who can deliver on these ambitions, working closely with Members, employees and partners. Some of our key priorities include the development of our local plan, the digital transformation of the council to better support our customers, further income generation and commercialisation, and the need to rejuvenate our high streets. There are also several big and exciting regeneration projects to be delivered including a new leisure centre.
With so many opportunities ahead of us, our new chief executive will need to be enthusiastic and positive, able to shape agendas and bring new ideas to the organisation. We are keen to have a bigger impact across Nottinghamshire and the wider region, and you will play an important role in developing partnerships. You will of course be able to work effectively with our committed and passionate Members and help them deliver their ambitions for the authority, ensuring high quality and good value services as well as offering strategic and sustainable solutions to long-standing issues.
This is a great opportunity for an innovative, aspirational and ambitious candidate, who has a strong track record of success in local government, great communication skills, and the ability to drive change whilst bringing communities, employees and stakeholders with them.
