Reporting directly to the CEO as part of the Corporate Leadership Team, this pivotal new role will drive culture change across the charity, as we move to a shared services model, ensuring our change programme is underpinned by a coherent, long-term and practical commitment to building all aspects of a modern, diverse, capable workforce. In this exciting and wide-ranging role, you will deliver our People, Volunteering and ED&I strategies as well as help to launch our pioneering corporate university, The BU, as part of our continued commitment to learning as one of our strategic enablers.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a high calibre, big picture thinker with considerable experience of advising Chief Executives and Boards and whose experience combines both strategic and operational leadership ability.  You will be skilled in driving and embedding organisational effectiveness and cultural change in line with corporate strategies.  With a demonstrable track record of delivering strategic impact in a large and complex organisation, your approach to leadership will embody our five core leadership traits: collegiate, learning, adaptable, inclusive and trustworthy.  You will have a knowledge of learning organisations, but whatever your sector background, you will bring the skills, credibility and drive to play a key role in the next stage of Barnardo’s development.
