Calderdale Council
Are you a collaborative system leader able to deliver our vision and match our ambition?
Our Vision for Calderdale is to create a place where Talent and Enterprise thrive, defined by Kindness and Resilience, a place full of hope, known for how our communities care for, and support each other. We want Calderdale to be Distinctive; where everyone can reach their potential and live a larger life.
We have two exciting roles which will enable you to become a key system leader in our borough. Calderdale is place you can grow and develop as a senior leader and progress your career. We are in search of Assistant Directors who are experienced practice leaders with the drive and ambition to deliver successful and sustainable services.
Calderdale Council wants to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children and adults. You will build on our commitment to improving outcomes, delivering quality care and good/outstanding services using strength based approaches. You will join an experienced team and will be responsible for five service managers delivering the Council's early help offer, youth justice and children’s social care services. The service is innovative, bespoke and committed to systemic practice. The last Ofsted inspection found the service to be ‘good’ with outstanding services for children in care and care leavers. We are proud of our stable staff team who go the extra mile and care passionately about the children and their work. You will work closely with our partners, can rely on strong political support, and will continue our incredible journey of improvement to make Calderdale the best place for children to grow up.
