Christchurch Housing Society, a charitable not-for-profit organisation, is a specialist provider of services to people of sixty years and over. Formed in 1946, we manage over 620 purpose-built flats and provide nursing and residential care home accommodation for older people who have a five-year residency qualification in the Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole areas. We also run three dining clubs.
We are proud of what we do and whilst we are a relatively small organisation, the impact we have is significant and we are keen to continue to grow and look at ways we can enhance both the range of services we provide as well as the experience our residents and customers receive. Our current Director, who has led the Society so well over a long period, is retiring, so we are now looking to attract a new leader who can help us achieve our ambition and continue the excellent way in which we deliver our services.
To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of elderly people. A highly visible leader, you will bring a strong track record of working within the social care environment as well as a vision for how we can expand the work of our society into the local community across all ages and needs. This is an important leadership role and you’ll be working with our Voluntary Committee to not only create and drive the commercial vision but be responsible for ensuring continued operational excellence.
