As a Trust, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (FHFT) has much to be proud of. Our latest inspection by CQC gave us yet more to be proud of as it reflected many examples of good and outstanding care and provided us with an overall ‘Good’ rating. As a well performing, well led and ambitious Foundation Trust, we have exciting times ahead of us. There are significant programmes of investment, such as a £49m major new Emergency Assessment Centre on our Wexham Park site; plans for a brand new £98m state of the art hospital to replace the existing hospital facility at Heatherwood in Ascot, for which the Chief of Nursing and Midwifery will play an important role in shaping clinical pathways and transformation plans. We have also made significant investment in our quality improvement and digital programmes to support our vision and will ensure that we achieve our aim of providing the highest quality healthcare to our patients.
We are committed to ensuring the continuous development of our ambitious and engaged workforce and the Trust has active and successful recruitment and retention initiatives from which to build further. This includes overseas Nurse recruitment consistently achieving OSCE pass rates of 100%; 125 Nursing Associates in training during 2019/20; increased Student Nurse/Midwife placement capacity of 125 this year; and 14 Trust wide Nursing & Midwifery Ambassadors recruited to support the 2020 Nursing Now campaign. We are now seeking a Chief of Nursing and Midwifery who can play an integral role in leading and inspiring our team of fantastic Nurses, Midwives and healthcare professionals. A key member of the leadership team and a voting Board Member, the Chief of Nursing and Midwifery will lead the development and delivery of clinical and professional standards and the development of leadership capacity within Nursing, Midwifery and healthcare professionals, and will be our Executive lead in a number of key areas, including patient safety, patient experience and safeguarding, as well as the clinical leadership of our QI programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated experienced Nurse leader with excellent communications skills to work as part of our dedicated and experienced Executive Leadership Team. We are looking for someone with a passion for patient care and the ability to think strategically and to work effectively as part of a team. Able to drive innovation and inspire those around them, above all else you will evidence a commitment and aspiration to drive continuous improvement and have strong ambition to deliver the best for the populations we serve.
