2gether NHS Foundation Trust & Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust
It is a time of major change in both the NHS and in Gloucestershire.
We’re in the final stages of a planned merger to join up mental and physical health services for our local communities, bringing 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust together into a single provider. Both Trusts have strong finances and CQC ratings of “Good”.
For the next stage of our journey, we are a committed to finding a dynamic and highly capable Head of Corporate Governance to join our Board.
To deliver business as usual alongside our ambitious merger project, this role will require a highly skilled, resilient and experienced corporate governance professional and leader. Applicants should be educated to Master’s degree level or hold a first degree with equivalent post graduate qualification plus relevant experience. You may be a Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, or alternatively hold significant experience in a Corporate Governance role within a large business environment with evidence of ongoing professional development including specialist courses. Bringing an extensive track record of providing excellent corporate governance, ideally from an NHS background, you will understand the key governance issues and challenges facing NHS organisations. With well-honed communication skills, you will have the ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally, and in partnership with regulatory bodies and other agencies.
This is a genuine opportunity, and we’re determined to search the country to find the right person who is driven by their passion for great corporate governance and who shares our vision for joined up mental and physical health services. The appointee will have significant opportunity to create and appoint to the structure of their new department.
