The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is a high performing provider of acute and specialist care for a catchment population of over 500,000, rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission. Our values - Everyone Matters, Working Together and Making a Difference - are at the heart of all we do.

With a turnover of circa £358m and a workforce of circa 5,000, RUH Bath is a vibrant organisation with a reputation for delivering high quality services and strong resource management. Our status as an NHS Foundation Trust grants both a degree of autonomy and responsibilities for managing our resources, operational plans and partnerships in order to achieve our strategic goals as a healthcare provider, major employer and developer of clinicians and clinical knowledge.

We are seeking a Head of Governance to join our team.  Responsible for a broad portfolio including corporate governance, secretariat, board assurance and legal services, your team will also support the Governors, Members as well as the Chief Executive and Chairs office. You will keep under view policy, legislative, regulatory and governance developments and facilitate the functioning of the Trusts corporate business processes, ensuring that governance arrangements are ‘fit for purpose’. You will also contribute to the work of the Board in developing organisational strategy in accordance with Trust’s key visions, values and objectives.

With a track record of working with boards the successful candidate will join us as a key member of our leadership team at a crucial time in our development. We’re looking for someone who is thorough yet adaptable, committed to high standards and an active team player, politically astute and able to communicate at all levels, but most importantly you share our values; Everyone Matters, Working Together and Making a Difference.
