Are you a high performer with a credible track record in success? Our ideal candidate should be a leading finance specialist, and be able to work collaboratively with our other Heads of Service to compliment our leadership capacity and shape the vision for the services; we’re expecting someone to deliver results, lead people, manage significant outcomes and demonstrate accountability.

As the Head of service, you will lead on the financial governance of the council’s companies, support the transformation of a new finance system and help the finance service through a period of transition, adding leadership capacity. You will enable the workforce to continue to meet the demands of the council, whilst being influential to modernise the financial practices in the organisation.

We are looking for candidates to demonstrate a commercial and fresh approach that encourages innovation that provides critical counsel to senior stakeholders and partners.

A Finance background in the private or public sector - or both – hold CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA, qualifications with at least 5 years post qualifications experience.
