Stepping Stone Projects
Stepping Stone Projects (SSP) was established in 1984 in partnership with Rochdale Council to provide accommodation and support for vulnerable people at risk of homelessness in and around the Rochdale area. Since then, SSP has successfully expanded, and we now offer our services to people across all of the North-West. Our mission is to support vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home by providing readily accessible support services to assist them in securing and maintaining an independent lifestyle in their own accommodation as soon as they are able, providing a ‘stepping stone’ on their pathway to independence.
This is an immensely exciting and challenging time to join the organisation as it takes significant steps towards shaping its future service provision. Building on the success of our long standing CEO who is retiring, we are looking for a forward thinking, entrepreneurial and strategic CEO to lead our organisation into the next phase of our growth. You will be innovative in your approach, be able to spot new opportunities, and formulate and deliver strategies in order to ensure the continued sustainability, success and development of SSP.
You will have exceptional interpersonal skills and will build strong relationships internally and externally with a wide range of people, organisations, and professionals. With a shared commitment to our values, you will be an inspirational leader able to motivate and develop a longstanding, dedicated and loyal team. You will inspire trust and confidence, empowering all of our people to achieve the highest standards of performance. We are looking for someone with a track record of delivery who ideally has a background in housing, homelessness or social care, who will be as passionate as we are about improving the lives of our clients.
For an informal and confidential discussion about the role, please contact our advising consultants, Juliet Brown on 0113 205 6089 or Mark Bate on 0113 205 6822.
