With over 1500 highly trained police officers and police staff, we are a specialist armed police service, responsible for providing armed police protection to licenced civil nuclear facilities in the UK and civil nuclear material in transit in the UK and internationally. We are currently going through a transformation programme designed to drive people, process and systems improvement to support the operation and build a collaborative and collegiate working environment to further expand and diversify the work that we do. To deliver this exciting and challenging programme we are looking to appoint a senior non – uniformed Director, Corporate Service to be a key part of our senior executive team.
This leadership role provides the strategic direction for all business-related matters including finance and business efficiency, procurement, and estates and commercial activity for CNC. Responsible to the newly appointed Chief Constable in their role as Accounting Office, you will manage key relationships with external stakeholders including Site Licencing Companies and Government Departments on all financial, business and commercial matters.
You will provide the leadership of this corporate services portfolio and be well versed in engaging effectively across the IT and finance functions of the business, leading our next generation IT and digital solution. Regular contact with both Government Departments and industry colleagues to ensure that the Constabulary delivers its mission will be a key feature of this important role as will being a valued member of the senior executive team. You will bring exceptional influencing and representational skills and a strong track record of continuously improving the performance culture across an organisation which is geographically spread. Leading change and experience of doing so successfully will be a strong advantage, enabling you to bring added value into this key leadership role.
