The Royal Star and Garter Homes
For more than a century The Royal Star & Garter Homes has provided outstanding care to disabled veterans. Established in the shadow of the First World War, the charity honours our nation’s promise to support the military family in their time of need.
We have award-winning Homes in Solihull, Surbiton and a new Home opening in High Wycombe. We are hugely proud of our heritage, but are firmly focused on delivering our mission to meet the needs of veterans today and of generations to come. 40,000 veterans will be living with dementia in 2020, and the need for our high quality care increases every year.
Over the next five years we will invest to at least double the number of veterans we support, and also offer greater choice and flexibility to our beneficiaries. With growing services comes growing infrastructure. We now seek an experienced and passionate HR professional who will lead an empowering, people-centred culture. Reporting to the Chief Executive with a seat on the Executive Team, you will be an advocate for our staff and volunteers and build people practices aligned to our values. You will develop and implement a people plan and organisational design that enables our future growth by building capability, engagement and performance in our brilliant people.
The successful candidate will have senior management level experience and a successful track record of leading a team, ideally in the adult social care or health sector. You will have strong influencing skills, commitment to our values, a track record of strategic and operational delivery and experience of driving innovation.
