Bristol has a reputation for new and innovative service delivery which is now being extended to how the respective safeguarding and criminal justice boards will hold these services to account. We are seeking an Independent Chair to lead and develop a merger of our safeguarding boards and community safety partnership, which is the first of its kind, and develop the benefits by making the most of the opportunity to connect the work of our key partners across the city.  

As our Chair, you will be at the vanguard of our new board, your role will be to bring the partnership together, ensuring robust governance, encouraging challenge, holding us to account so we safeguard our community’s most vulnerable people. Under your leadership and direction, and with strong corporate support, you will ensure our future is defined, shaped and delivered, maintaining partnership support and enabling us to increasingly innovate and deliver improved outcomes. You should be interested in transformation partnership projects.

We are looking for a credible, innovative, experienced individual who can support, challenge and facilitate a high functioning partnership and a knowledge of the services, as well as the ability to inspire trust and confidence of senior professionals across a range of agencies.

Please note this is a two-year tenure post.
