Drinkaware is an independent alcohol education charity working with both the alcohol industry and public sector bodies to tackle and help reduce alcohol-related harm. Established over 10 years ago by Government and the UK alcohol industry, our main objective is to positively change public behaviour by helping people make better choices about their drinking.

As our new Head of Digital Development, you will play a critical role in the delivery of our five year strategy, enabling a step change in our impact through the smart capture and maximization of data and the further development of our digital footprint; building on our already successful app and web site to offer all walks of life an optimum omni-channel experience that improves their health and wellbeing.  We work with a broad range of partners and stakeholders and must work smart and collaboratively, securing, sharing and responding to insight to promote responsible behavior at both an individual and corporate level. To do this, we must provide a coherent technology infrastructure that helps us to unlock our potential, so that we can operate with confidence and at pace.

You will be a customer focused digital, data and technology professional with experience of enabling consumer/citizen engagement through smart investment in technology.  A strategic thinker with exceptional delivery credentials, you’ll turn our vision into a reality, defining and delivering a digital, data and technology strategy that enables us to build long-term relationships with both the public and a broad range of external stakeholders to provide an exemplary customer experience, whilst securing and acting on invaluable insight that enables us to focus and maximise our impact.

We’re a modestly sized organisation with significant reach, so you’ll need to be an all-rounder, willing to do what it takes to get the job done and able to deliver a lot with a little.  A clear communicator and accomplished relationship builder, you will excel when working in partnership with a range of colleagues and external partners to define and deliver to common goals and you will have a reputation for informing and enabling through the application of your subject matter expertise and your broad frame of reference.

Above all, you will be a credible, inspiring and pragmatic technology professional, with a collaborative style and an aptitude for sharing and embedding best practice, ensuring that we maintain data and technology compliance whilst embracing opportunities to innovate.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of many and we’re excited to find out how we can work together to maximise our impact.  If you feel that you bring the experience, passion and drive to success in this important role, then we look forward to hearing from you.
