Interim Deputy Executive Director of People and Governance (15 months maternity cover)
St Mungo’s is the largest homelessness Charity in London and the South of England. They provide over 300 services to their homeless clients supporting them in their recovery. St Mungo’s has ambitious plans for growth over the next five years and needs an engaged and empowered workforce to support them on their journey. They are unique as they are both a registered housing association and a registered charity. St Mungo’s employs 1,300 staff and has over 900 volunteers; the people agenda is at the heart of how they run their organisation. They have a highly engaged, high performing, diverse and client-centred culture that has been achieved through the implementation of their progressive People and Governance strategy.
They are seeking an energetic, results focused, CIPD qualified HR professional to join them on their journey of growth and change. You will be directly responsible for leading HR Operations which includes:
- Employee resourcing and workforce planning
- Talent management
- Systems management
- Employee relations and employment administration
- Performance and attendance management
You will also be responsible for the production, analysis and reporting of complex financial and numerical data around areas such as reward, compliance, KPI and impact monitoring.
We are looking for a candidate who is data savvy, can drive change and who continues to develop the HR function as a business enabling service. You will also be proven at leading projects through to completion. You will regularly be writing reports on complex matters so must have excellent written skills. Reporting to the Executive Director of People and Governance, as well as leading on the above aspects of the directorate’s functions, you will deputise across the whole directorate as appropriate and continue to strengthen the relationships across the whole business. People and Governance is a strong well-respected team (60 staff in total) and you will ensure that this continues to improve and develop.
