Red Door Ventures is the London Borough of Newham’s wholly owned development company which was established in 2014. Following the election of a new administration in May 2018, led by Mayor Fiaz, the company has been re-purposed to focus on the delivery of truly affordable, high quality homes in Newham.

This is a high profile role in that the London Borough of Newham has secured the largest grant award in London from the GLA and Red Door Ventures is a key delivery partner, contributing to a programme of 1,000 new homes by 2022.

We are now looking for a new Chair to lead the next stage of the company’s development, supported by an experienced and diligent executive team.

The role will require an absolute focus on transparency and good governance, together with a real pledge to best industry practice in development.

Our Chair needs to bring a unique blend of strategic skills and social purpose to lead our Board. We are particularly interested in individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience of development delivery. We are looking for an individual with familiarity of working at Board level within a sector facing significant change and challenges. The Chair should also be comfortable and experienced in working with locally elected representatives and community representatives.

For more information or an informal confidential discussion please contact Simon Wing on 020 7426 3976 or Rosie Gunn on 020 7426 3998.
