New Forest District Council is one of the largest District Councils in the UK.   We cover an area of approximately 290 square miles and have a population of 176,000.    We are looking for an exceptional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic person to lead our Democratic and Support Services Teams to deliver the whole range of Member related issues, including:-  

 

 

  • Support to all member meetings
  • All democratic-related interface with councillors
  • Member training
  • Members’ interests
  • Members’ allowances
  • Member complaints
  • Parish matters, including attendance at New Forest Association of Local Councils
  • Support to the Chairman of the Council
  • Upkeep of documents such as the Constitution and the democratic pages of the website
  • Admin support to Legal & Democratic Services
  • Print room
  • ICT support to members

 

 

Our main offices are in Lyndhurst at the heart of the New Forest, with easy access to the wide range of amenities on offer in nearby Southampton and Bournemouth.
