University of Bedfordshire
The University of Bedfordshire is seeking to appoint a new Academic Registrar.
The University of Bedfordshire provides transformational opportunities through access to an excellent educational experience. We perform strongly in the NSS and graduate employability statistics and we achieved significant progress in the volume, subject spread, and quality of our research in the more recent REF exercise. We provider an excellent higher education experience that aims to develop employable and entrepreneurial global citizens. Much of our work involves partnership with employers, accrediting bodies and partner institutions locally and across the globe.
Reporting directly to the Registrar and University Secretary, the Academic Registrar will play the critical role in the strategic and operational leadership of the Academic Registry. As the professional lead for the systems that underpin academic quality and standards, and leading key services including graduation, assessment, timetabling, registration, faculty and research degree administration and student records this role is of vital importance to the core functions of the University.
Requiring strong relationship management skills, robustness and highly refined management skills and with an ability to adapt, drive performance and lead change, the successful candidate should bring a deep understanding of quality assurance, student records and data processing and academic administration. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values that the University’s strategies, process and systems are designed to support.
