We are looking for a Head of Intelligence and Technology to support Services across the Council to convert information and knowledge into intelligence that drives transformational change and improvement. We will use intelligence proactively to improve service delivery across the whole Council utilising the best available technology. The role will support us to become a caring, ambitious and modern council.
We want to provide the best corporate systems and processes to allow our services to improve and deliver their ‘day jobs’ efficiently and effectively. This new role will provide you with the opportunity to be part of the team leading exciting transformation programmes that will deliver our priorities for the Wakefield district.
We need an ambitious, innovative and effective leader to join our team as Head of Intelligence and Technology.
- Lead on the delivery of our digital strategy, supporting the whole organisation to make improvements for customers, staff and businesses.
- Implement the new technology strategy designed to create a Council that can innovate successfully; not just to create corporate improvements but change the lives of our citizens.
- Champion good data and its conversion into intelligence. Making sure that intelligence drives evidence-based decision making, predictive modelling and business change.
Leading technology discussions with senior managers, you will be a respected member of the team. You will be someone who can horizon-scan and create effective new approaches to service delivery, whilst at the same time delivering robust and resilient systems that maintain day to day council operations. You will also be responsible for the commissioning and management of major council ICT systems.
This is a tremendous opportunity to be more than a ‘Head of IT’. The Council has a new senior leadership team with a desire to make great strides around intelligence and technology – come and join us.
